  3. Thank you sir, thanks for adding my blog to your faves… I met Jeremy years ago.. http://atolljourney.weebly.com/photo-gallery.html “After years of exhaustive fact-finding, writer Jeremy Edward Shiok retraced the World War II tour of duty of his grandfather through Pacific islands forever changed by the conflict. Shiok explored American Samoa, Samoa, Wallis, Tarawa, and Abemama in search of answers no archive can provide, and crisscrossed the U.S. many times over to interview veterans and their families. Now he’s writing a book about the history he discovered.”

    • You don’t need to be American to appreciate the theme. ANY soldier who fights for our freedoms and/or tries to make this a better world – deserves the honor!

  11. So well done, illustrating the difficulty of drawing the attention of the young to what was entailed – but when they get it, they GET it!

    • I imagine it is difficult for them to divert their attention away from technology – it’s such a part of their lives. BUT – they need to know their history and as you said – when they get it – they get it! Thank you for watching!!
